PostgreS Database Administrator (DBA)


General Summary:

Our Information Technology (IT) department requires an experienced and knowledgeable PostgreS Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and maintain our database. Working alongside additional IT staff, programmers and executive staff, the DBA will be responsible for the support of an existing PostgreSQL 8.x production database in high transaction volume environments.

The ideal candidate must also be able to:

  • Troubleshoot database performance issues
  • Identify, optimize and tune bad queries
  • Convert logical design to physical design
  • Support online backups and PITR for production databases
  • Maintain standby databases
  • Migrate and upgrade databases
  • Refresh production databases using SAN snapshots
  • Gatekeeper for all the database changes
  • Run adhoc reports and maintain ongoing schedule reports
  • Write database checks for the alert monitoring system

Requirements:

To perform the essential duties of the PostgreS DBA, an individual must have:

  • Expert understanding of PostgreSQL, including experience with different database replication scenarios
  • In depth knowledge of database design, including logical and physical design, as well as SQL
  • Experience with PostgreS 8.x, Slony
  • Strong Unix/Linux skills
  • Experience with Python, SAN environments and multi-master clustering (HA) a major plus
  • Strong Unix shell scripting
  • Familiarity with PL/PGSQL procedure language

Education and Qualifications:

Previous work experience that can be demonstrated in the same or related field is a must.


Compensation:

This is a full-time salaried position that provides compensation commiserate with experience level and skill set.

Web Marketing Associate


General Summary:

We need an outgoing and personable Web Marketing Associate who is experienced at successfully promoting business via phone and email. The Web Marketing Associate will develop strategies to recruit new affiliates and maintain — as well as grow the contribution of — current accounts. To ensure that monthly revenue objectives are met, the Web Marketing Associate will perform the following tasks:

  • Establish and maintain contact with potential online partners
  • Assist partners with technical issues and monitor their needs and desires

Requirements:

Advertising Sales Representative


General Summary:

The REO Real Estate Broker Advertising Sales Representative will be responsible for selling online advertising solutions to real estate agents on a national basis.

Requirements:

  • A successful track record of multimedia sales with one to three years experience
  • Understanding of real estate terminology (real estate experience a plus)
  • Superior knowledge of the functionality and landscape of Internet advertising and Search Engine Marketing (SEO)
  • Ability to clearly communicate and execute Internet marketing solutions appropriate to the advertising customers
  • Enjoy building advertiser relationships while working in a collaborative
    sales environment
  • Prefers working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, Internet terms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities:

  • Complete all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • One to three years of advertising sales experience, including a minimum
    of one year of online advertising experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, a related field or equivalent experience preferred

Entry-Level/Junior Java Web Developer


General Summary:

Full-time entry level position. Internships are also available.

The right candidate will be responsible for developing MVC Web applications, as well as implementing JSP/Velocity templates and MVC controllers. The Java Web Developer will also develop database-driven Java Web applications, working closely with senior architects and other team members to analyze the product requirements, define the system requirements, design the application, etc.


Qualifications:

Solid front-end Web skills in technologies such as HTML and CSS are necessary. The ideal candidate must also be familiar with:

  • JSP/Velocity skills
  • MVC model
  • SQL
  • Applications in a Unix environment
  • Source control systems such as Subversion and CVS
  • Object-oriented software design
  • Hibernate, Spring Framework, and/or Python a major plus

It is also critical that applicants have the ability to work well within a team to resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
